Sometimes I just don’t completely get it…

Take corn rootworms as a great example. They are widely considered to be the number-one yield robber in corn, yet many farmers don’t have rootworm control as one of the top priorities on their farms.

The two most common reasons I hear for this are:

  1. I’m rotating corn with soybeans. Isn’t that enough to stop rootworms from becoming a problem?
  2. I’m using a trait on my continuous corn acres. Isn’t that enough?
