No matter where you go, when it comes to farming, one fact remains true…
it ain’t always easy.

On top of that, when starting from scratch to acquire acres, equipment, and knowledge, building a successful business in crop production becomes exponentially more difficult. To persevere in this job, it takes someone with a true calling to the work.

For his whole life, TJ Compagnola, 51, has felt that calling pulling him to the farm. He grew up on a 60-head dairy farm near Bath, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley in east-central Pennsylvania and just west of the border with New Jersey. In 1988, around the time TJ turned 13, his dad decided to exit his farming career, selling off all the livestock. However, by that time, TJ deeply understood where his future lay.
