I can still remember my very first Ag PhD Field Day.

It was the summer of 2011, and I was living in my home state of North Dakota and approaching something of a crossroads in my life. On one hand, my wife was facing the possibility of moving out of state for her work; on the other, I was thinking about going back home to work on my parents’ farm in central North Dakota.

With that in mind, I wanted to check out some information on estate planning, and I’d learned that the Ag PhD Field Day was hosting estate lawyers to hold sessions on the topic, so my wife and I decided to attend.
