Beginning July 15, channel 80 (that’s the new Rural Radio channel) on SiriusXM will be the place you can catch Ag PhD Radio. The show will air each weekday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Central Time.
The Ag PhD Radio Show, just like Ag PhD TV, will be focused on helping you achieve 3 main goals in your farm operation:
- Raising higher-yielding crops
- Earning more money on the farm
- Leaving the land and the environment in better condition for the next generation
What Ag PhD Radio (and TV) will NOT do is spend a lot of time talking about grain markets, the weather, or farm news, because we believe those are all things that you can’t control. If you are a farmer, you would like to be able to raise a good crop, earn a decent living, and leave your ground in good condition regardless of whether the markets are high or low, the weather is wet or dry or hot or cold, or if farm news happens to be unfavorable.
What Ag PhD Radio will feature every day is YOU! Most days, Ag PhD Radio will be broadcast live with Darren and me hosting the show right from our farm. You can submit questions via e-mail, Twitter, text, or by phone. Darren, myself, and occasionally industry experts and top farmers from around the globe will answer your questions and give you tips on how to maximize production, income, and stewardship. There will also be a daily feature checking in on farmers and agronomists in several different states to see what new ideas and practices are being used on top farms in those areas.
From time to time, Ag PhD Radio will broadcast on location, with the Ag PhD Field Day as one of the first destinations. If you have never attended this event, we invite you to join us on our farm on Thursday, July 25th near Baltic, SD. For one hour during that afternoon, you can watch the live Ag PhD Radio Show production and ask your questions right there at the Field Day site.
To catch Ag PhD Radio, tune in to Rural Radio at 2 p.m. Central on SiriusXM channel 80 each week Monday through Friday beginning July 15.
